Five pieces recorded whilst living in rural Minnesota with my fiance earlier this year. He was undergoing treatment for leukemia and I was working in a hospital during the height of the pandemic. Grief was in the air. All are based around field recordings taken from my old phone. These recordings were (per usual) ran though a synthesizer to create these tracks. I'm calling them "sketches" because I don't think these pieces feel like finished tracks, but I don't think they're supposed to. Regardless, the phone I have now doesn't have a headphone jack so I can't repeat this process, but these pieces still mean a lot to me so I'm publishing this album as a document of a method that, at the time, was therapeutic for me.
